Our Water Damage Assessment Process
Following water damage or water loss on your property, our team will first begin by conducting a thorough structural investigation. Our process is designed to identify visible signs of water damage, wet building materials, elevated humidity, and other conditions caused directly by water intrusion.
Next, we will take this opportunity to determine whether or not further attention is required in terms of on-site contamination. If we suspect there is a heightened exposure risk to your property’s inhabitants, we will recommend mold and bacteria testing, the likes of which can also be expertly and expediently conducted by our licensed team.
Finally, we will provide you with a detailed report summarizing our findings, categorization, causation, recommendations, and a water damage restoration protocol (scope of work).
The recommended protocol is a step-by-step plan that explains what work needs to occur to get the areas cleaned up, dried-out, and/or remediated properly.
After water damage strikes, the clock is ticking. Building materials that may be salvageable if addressed quickly may become damaged beyond repair over time. Likewise, in the presence of water, mold can begin to grow in as little as 72 hours. We are available to help - now.

Mold is prone to grow in areas of moisture. If your property has suffered from water damage, moisture intrusion, or improper HVAC function, or has damp crawlspaces or attics, and more, you are more likely to experience mold growth.
If you cannot see any visible mold in your space, other indications of mold include a musty or mildewy smell, new or worsened allergies, or elevated humidity in the home.
A mold assessment is necessary to accurately identify the presence, type, and severity of mold growth in a property, allowing for proper remediation strategies to be implemented and protect your health by understanding the potential risks associated with the specific mold found, while also preventing further damage to your property by addressing the underlying moisture issues causing the mold growth.
Key reasons to get a mold assessment:
Health concerns: Mold can trigger allergies, respiratory issues, and other health problems, especially for sensitive individuals, so knowing the extent of mold contamination is crucial for managing potential health risks.
Identifying hidden mold: A professional can locate hidden mold growth in walls, ceilings, and other hard-to-reach areas that might not be visible to the naked eye.
Determining the cause of mold growth: A mold assessment can help identify the source of moisture causing the mold problem, allowing for preventative measures to be taken to prevent future growth.
Proper remediation plan: By accurately identifying the type and extent of mold, a qualified professional can develop a targeted remediation plan to effectively remove the mold and address the root cause.
Property value protection: Extensive mold growth can significantly decrease a property's value, so addressing mold issues early can help maintain the property's market value.
When to consider a mold assessment:
Visible mold growth: If you see mold patches, discoloration, or suspect mold growth in your home.
Musty odor: A persistent musty smell can indicate the presence of mold.
Water damage: After a flood, leak, or other water damage event.
Recent renovations: Construction activities can disturb potential mold growth areas.
Buying or selling a home: As part of a home inspection to identify potential mold problems before purchasing a property.
The length of a mold assessment can vary depending on the size and complexity of the property. Generally, assessments take between 1-2 hours.
